The plant is a shrub 3–4 meters in height. Ornamental foliage is red in spring, turns green in summer while retaining a reddish tint on the shoot tips, and becomes burgundy again in autumn.
Fruits are cylindrical in shape, have an average weight of 2–2.5 g, and are covered with a red husk. Yield is 5–8 kg per shrub; harvesting occurs from late August to the second half of September. The variety requires cross-pollination.
The plant is characterized by high winter hardiness and disease resistance.
