The plant is a vigorous shrub 4–6 meters tall with a dense pyramidal or spreading crown. The leaves are large, dark green, turning burgundy or reddish in the autumn.
The fruits are large or medium-sized, with an oblong-cylindrical, slightly flattened shape and a thin, light brown shell. The kernel is juicy, cream-colored. Harvest maturity occurs in the second or third ten-day period of September; the nuts separate easily from the husk.
The variety has good winter hardiness and resistance to Monilinia and bud mites. It is partially self-fertile, therefore, for stable fruiting, it is recommended to plant it together with other hazelnut varieties.
