The plant is a medium-sized shrub 300–500 cm tall with a loose, cone-shaped crown 200 to 700 cm wide. The leaves are ovate, serrated, and turn yellow-orange in the autumn. Early flowering from February to March is accompanied by the appearance of yellow male catkins.

The variety is self-fertile, but yields increase in the presence of other pollinator varieties. The fruits ripen from September and are characterized by their large size and light brown color. The plant is undemanding regarding soil, prefers sunny or semi-shaded locations, and tolerates pruning well.
