Variety description

10 August 2026

Deciduous shrub or small multi-stemmed tree with a broad crown 3–6 meters in diameter. Leaves are large, up to 12 cm, rounded with a serrated edge. Early flowering occurs in March–April before the leaves emerge; male catkins have a reddish hue.

Fruits are of medium size, weighing about 3–4 g, with an oblong or oval shape and a reddish-brown shell. The harvest ripens in September–October. The variety is not self-pollinating and requires the proximity of other hazelnut varieties.

Winter-hardy plant, well-adapted to conditions, prefers fertile and well-drained soils, and is resistant to winds. Used as a fruit-bearing and ornamental crop, including as a specimen plant in landscape design.
