Variety description

10 August 2026

The plant is a multi-stemmed shrub or tree 3–6 meters tall with a wide umbrella-shaped crown. The leaves have a bright burgundy-red hue when opening, and turn orange-yellow in autumn.

The oblong fruits with reddish-brown shells ripen in September–October. The variety is demanding of soil fertility and moisture, but is resistant to wind and diseases. It is used in landscape design as a solitary plant or for creating hedges; the nuts are edible.
