The plant reaches a height of 3–4 meters. The leaves are red in spring, turn green in summer while retaining a reddish tint on the shoot tips, and take on a burgundy or purple tone in autumn. The fruits have a mass of up to 2 g and oily kernels with a sweetish taste.

The crop ripens in the second half of August – September. The yield is 5–9 kg per bush. The variety possesses above-average winter hardiness, is resistant to major garden diseases, and is used in landscape design, as well as a pollinator for other hazel varieties.
