The medium-vigor shrub reaches a height of 3 to 7 meters. The crown is characterized by a spreading shape and distinctively curved, twisted shoots. Long catkins give the plant its ornamental value.

The nuts have a classic round shape, a smooth light-brown shell, and a firm, crunchy cream-colored kernel. The harvest ripens at the end of August — early September.

The variety is intended for temperate climates and requires drained soils. It is self-incompatible; pollinator varieties such as Gustav's Zeller and Gunslebert are necessary for fruit set.
