Variety description

10 August 2026

The plant is a large spreading shrub reaching 4–6 meters in height. The main ornamental feature is the foliage color: in spring it is bright red, in summer it acquires a bronze or green hue, and in autumn it turns burgundy again. The catkin inflorescences also have a reddish color.

The fruits are medium-sized, elongated-ovoid in shape, have a thin shell and good taste qualities, the kernel yield is about 48%. The variety is characterized by medium ripening periods (September–October) and high winter hardiness (down to -25...-30°C).

The crop is used as a nut-bearing plant and in landscape design. The variety often acts as a pollinator for other hazelnut varieties, while cross-pollination is recommended for stable fruiting.
