The plant is a medium to vigorous shrub with a dense, semi-erect canopy, reaching 4–6 meters in height and width. The cultivar produces a medium to large amount of root suckers and is distinguished by its characteristic burgundy-colored leaves.

The nuts are small, elongated in shape, and have a very brittle shell. Kernel yield is 50–53%. Unlike the 'Lombardská bílá' cultivar, the kernel skin is red.

The yield of the cultivar varies from 5 to 8 kg of nuts per bush. The cultivar is adapted to climatic conditions, however, it requires careful selection of the planting site and protection from pests characteristic of the Corylus genus, such as the filbert bud mite and the nut weevil.
