The plant is a vigorously growing, wide-spreading multi-stemmed shrub 4–7 meters in height and 3–7 meters in width. The leaves are round, dark green, 6–10 cm in size, with a serrated edge, turning yellow-orange in autumn. Early flowering with yellow catkins occurs from February to April before the emergence of leaves.
The fruits ripen in September, having an oblong or oval shape and a brown color. The nuts are gathered in groups of 3–7, easily extracted from the deeply cut husk. The variety is characterized by high yield, shade tolerance, and good tolerance to pruning.
The variety is self-sterile or weakly self-fertile; therefore, it is recommended to plant other hazel varieties for pollination. Suitable for private and industrial cultivation; the fruits are suitable for fresh consumption, storage, and processing.
