The shrub has high vigor, forming a dense crown with vertically directed shoots. Leaves are large, elliptical, with an intense red color in spring, later acquiring a green shade with a distinct carmine tint. Female inflorescences with red stigmas bloom earlier than the male ones, which have a reddish-brown color.
Fruits are large, cylindrical or oval in shape, brown with stripes, and well-filled within the shell. The husk is longer than the nut and colored red-pink. The variety enters bearing early; nuts ripen in September–October and do not fall out of the husk after maturation. The plant has high frost resistance, withstanding temperatures down to -32°C.
