Variety description

The tree is distinguished by a narrow columnar dense crown and scale-like needles of a rich dark green color. Annual growth is 40 to 80 cm, and the plant height under free-growth conditions can reach 20–30 m or more.

The plant possesses resistance to air pollution and salty sea wind. Due to its shallow root system, mature trees are susceptible to windthrow. The variety is practically sterile and propagates only by cuttings.

The variety finds application in landscape design for forming dense hedges, screens, and as a specimen plant. It is sometimes used as a Christmas tree.
