Trees reach a height of 3–4 meters, in some cases up to 8 meters. The fruits have a pear-like shape, a greenish-yellow color, and light tomentose pubescence. The fruit flesh is usually slightly granular, with some forms characterized by less astringency compared to other quince varieties.
Plants of this type mature in the second half of September. They are characterized by winter hardiness and sufficient resistance to fungal diseases. Due to the high pectin content, the fruits are versatile in use, including being suitable for the preparation of jams, jellies, and other types of processing.
