The variety is intended for the production of flower heads using the seed propagation method. It became one of the first varieties to allow a transition from traditional vegetative propagation of artichoke to cultivation from seed.
The variety is characterized by an early maturity group. Flowering can be induced by treatment with gibberellic acid, which allows for harvesting in the autumn period, eliminating the need for exposure to low temperatures.
