The plant is a compact bushy shrub, reaching 15–20 cm in height and up to 30–45 cm in width. The foliage is dark green, evergreen. The flowers are colored a deep cherry-pink.
The flowering period occurs from late winter to mid-spring, covering the interval from February to April. The variety has high winter hardiness, corresponding to zones 5a–9b, and is suitable for groundcover plantings, rock garden design, and container gardening.
