The variety is a mutation (sport) that originated on an Erica carnea 'Praecox Rubra' plant. Summer young shoots have a silvery-white hue, which changes to pink when winter temperatures drop, while the main foliage remains dark green.
The flowers are purple-violet (heliotrope) in color. The flowering period is March-April. The plant is typical for its species and is used in ornamental gardening as a groundcover or container crop.
The right is granted for a limited term: propagation of the variety requires a license from the rights holder.
