The plant is a compact shrub approximately 15 cm tall and up to 35 cm wide. The needle-like foliage is dark green during the warm season and acquires a bronze hue in the cold period.
The flowers are carmine-pink or deep purple-red with a ruby-pink center and have ruffled edges. The flowering period lasts from February to April.
The variety possesses winter hardiness corresponding to USDA zone 5. Sunny or semi-shaded areas with well-drained acidic soils are suitable for cultivation; pruning of inflorescences is recommended after flowering.
