The plant is a compact evergreen shrub, forming dense cushions or mats 30–45 cm in diameter. Foliage is medium-sized, medium-green in color.
Flowers are of a pink shade with a bluish tint and black anthers, having an urn shape. The flowering period falls in March–April.
