The variety is a slow-growing shrub reaching 60–80 cm in height and 40–60 cm in width. The leaves are evergreen, narrow-elliptic in shape, have a glossy dark green hue, with the underside of the leaf being lighter. New growth, appearing in April and August, has a brighter color.
