The plant is an evergreen ornamental shrub characterized by a broad upright growth habit and reaching a height of about 1.5 m by the age of ten. The main distinctive feature of the variety is its variegation: young shoots and leaves have a pale yellowish-white hue, gradually acquiring green veins, while mature leaves become dark green and glossy.
The variety is used for creating borders and low hedges, and is also grown in containers and on rock gardens. The plant is undemanding, maintains stable varietal characteristics, and is positioned as an alternative to boxwood.
