The variety is a dense shrub with an upright growth habit. Its key feature is the leaf coloration: young shoots and leaves have a bright white color, which as they mature is replaced by a dark green coloration with creamy white spots. The leaves have a leathery, glossy texture and an oval or rounded shape.
The plant blooms with small, inconspicuous greenish flowers, sometimes it may not produce flowers at all; fruiting occurs rarely. The variety has moderate winter hardiness (USDA zone 8a, down to –9…–12°C), is resistant to drought and saline soils. It develops well in sunny areas or partial shade, maintaining trait stability when propagated by cuttings.
