Variety description

The plant reaches a height of 80–150 cm and a width of 30–75 cm. Leaves are ovate or elliptical, finely serrated, dark grey-green in color with a wide margin that retains its color year-round.
Flowering occurs in late spring or early summer with small greenish-white flowers. Pink capsule fruits may appear in the autumn.
The variety is relatively winter hardy, withstanding frosts down to –15...–20 °C. It prefers wind-protected locations and well-drained soils. It is used for hedges, borders, and container landscaping.
