The variety has the experimental number PPG-TF-142 and is classified as Turf Type Tall Fescue. The plant is distinguished by a low growth habit, prostrate form, and active tillering. The variety is able to maintain an attractive appearance and saturated color during the autumn-winter period.
Ares is intended for creating high-quality grass covers on sports fields, in park zones, and on private lawns, and is also suitable for sod production on specialized farms. Field trials demonstrate good indicators of resistance to mechanical stress and trampling.
