The variety is characterized by a large number of stems and a coarse leaf texture, and has medium development time. It possesses good winter hardiness and forms a dense, stable sod that prevents erosion and weed infiltration under infrequent mowing.

The primary purpose of the variety is creating covers for sites requiring long grass policies, in particular at airfields. The variety is also used in multi-component mixtures for general landscape design.
