The variety is an 8-clone synthetic grass with a deep root system, which provides heat resistance and tolerance to trampling. Fawn matures one week earlier than the Kentucky 31 variety and possesses good initial growth vigor and high seed yield.

The plant is endophyte-free, making it safe for livestock grazing. The variety may be susceptible to rust. In addition to forage purposes, it is used for creating pastures, hayfields, soil erosion prevention, and landscaping of low-maintenance areas.
