The variety belongs to the type of turf grasses characterized by a darker color, fine leaf texture, and the formation of a dense sward. The plant is perennial, tall-growing, and loose-bunchgrass.

In breeding work, the variety was used as a genetic resource and a parental line for the development of more modern tall fescue varieties.
