The variety is a perennial grass plant, obtained by crossing the initial material Kentucky 31 with three high-yielding lines and undergoing three cycles of selection. The plant is characterized by an open bunch-type sod and a height of 60 to 120 cm.
The variety is intended for forage and turf purposes, possesses good germination energy and rapid rooting. It is resistant to brown leaf spot, Pythium, and red thread, is distinguished by high drought and heat resistance, and also tolerates short-term flooding. The absence of endophytes makes it safe for livestock.
The plant adapts to loamy and sandy-loam soils. The dense stand is capable of displacing weeds and is resistant to trampling, which allows the variety to be used both in pure stands and in mixtures with legumes.
