The variety is used in forage production. Research examines the variety's biomass as a raw material for biogas production through anaerobic digestion due to an optimal carbon-to-nitrogen ratio.

The crude protein content in the dry matter of the green mass is 106–131 g/kg. Studies also determine indicators of ash content, crude fiber, neutral detergent fiber, and digestibility.
