The variety Regina Cleopatra is a hexaploid plant of semi-erect type. It belongs to tall-growing varieties and exhibits mid-early heading dates. Genetically, the variety was formed by selection from populations growing in the conditions of Central Italy.

The plant possesses high longevity, maintaining productivity in one location for more than 5–6 years, and medium regrowth ability after mowing. The variety shows adaptability to difficult conditions, including arid environments, mountainous regions, and poor soils.

The purpose of the variety is the establishment of pastures and forage production, both as a pure stand and in mixtures with other forage crops. Characterized by general high resistance to adverse environmental factors.
