The variety is tetraploid, possesses an erect growth habit with medium tillering and long thin leaves. The growing season is about 155 days, plant height varies from 100 to 140 cm.
The plant possesses high winter hardiness and resistance to diseases, particularly to rust and leaf spot. The variety is capable of adapting to wet, flooded, as well as drier and hotter conditions, and is characterized by rapid regrowth after mowing or grazing.
Green mass yield reaches 15.4 t/ha of dry matter, seed yield is about 600 kg/ha. Feed value is estimated as high due to the significant content of carbohydrates and softness of the leaves. Used for sown meadows, pastures, and in mixtures with legumes for the production of hay or haylage.
