Barcrown slender creeping red fescue belongs to the subspecies Festuca rubra trichophylla and possesses short underground shoots. The plant is characterized as low-growing, forming a dense turf with a fine leaf texture.
The variety possesses high resistance to red thread, harsh winter conditions, and drought. Due to its ability to tolerate low mowing, it is actively used in specialized grass mixtures, in particular for golf course greens.
