Variety description

The Shademaster II and Shademaster III varieties belong to the strong creeping red fescue group and are rhizomatous grasses. The plants have a medium-dark green color, and the Shademaster III variety is characterized by a low growth habit and low vertical shoot height.

This breeding material is distinguished by a high ability to maintain turf density during the summer period and good shade tolerance. The varieties exhibit resistance to leaf spot, stem rust, red thread, and brown patch, which allows for their use under conditions of reduced maintenance.

Under the trade name Shademaster, lawn grass mixtures are also produced, the composition of which may include various subspecies of red fescue, Kentucky bluegrass, and perennial ryegrass. Such mixtures are intended for landscaping parks and gardens under shaded conditions.
