The variety is classified as late-maturing and is characterized as a tall grass. The plant possesses high resistance to low temperatures, drought, and lodging, as well as low susceptibility to diseases, in particular rust.
The variety is distinguished by rapid regrowth after mowing and a high yield of dry matter. The green mass has a high sugar content, which improves its palatability for animals and facilitates the ensiling process. Under intensive use, it provides up to four cuts per year with a uniform yield distribution.
Felopa is intended for use in pure stands or as part of grass mixtures, including mixtures with legumes, for use in hayfields and pastures.
