Festilo is a tetraploid hybrid obtained by crossing hybrid ryegrass and meadow fescue. In its morphological characteristics, this variety is closer to Italian ryegrass than to meadow fescue.
The variety possesses good resistance to rust and leaf spot, and is also capable of maintaining high productivity under conditions of severe soil drought. It is distinguished by good seed productivity and high dry matter yield in spring and autumn sowings.
The variety is intended for forage production and is primarily used in a hay-cutting management system.
