The variety belongs to the ryegrass morphotype and resembles perennial ryegrass in its development pattern. The maturity group is defined as medium-early or medium-late. The plant has an intermediate or semi-prostrate habit, spring growth is characterized as rapid or medium-rapid, and the regrowth intensity after mowing is medium.

The variety has medium resistance to the complex of grass leaf spots. Hathor combines the growth vigor and high forage quality characteristic of ryegrass with the longevity and resistance typical of fescue. The main purpose of the variety is pasture use as part of grass mixtures.
