The variety Honak is a product of intergeneric hybridization of fescue and ryegrass. The plant belongs to Festulolium of the tall fescue type, which provides it with high productivity and resistance to stress factors. The variety is hexaploid and characterized as mid-early.
Morphologically, the variety has an intermediate or semi-erect bush habit and medium regrowth density after mowing. The produce is distinguished by high nutritional value, which is expressed in high yields of green mass, medium nitrogenous substance yield, low fiber content, and high digestibility of cell walls.
Honak is recommended for pasture use. The variety is effectively used in perennial pasture grass mixtures, combining the endurance of fescue and the high forage quality characteristic of ryegrass.
