Helus is an intergeneric hybrid which, in terms of its morphological traits and growth habit, is closer to Italian ryegrass than to fescue. The plant belongs to tetraploid forms and is characterized by high dry matter productivity, exceeding 20 tons per hectare under a three-cut management regime per year.
The variety possesses high sward density and good resistance to diseases, specifically demonstrating resistance to rust. Due to its forage quality and high yield, it is intended for use in short-term grass mixtures for forage production.
