The variety is used as a forage crop in agricultural trials. As part of the research conducted, "Gira" is included in trial groups studying productivity under mowing and grazing use.

During the trials, the variety's indicators are compared with other forage grasses, in particular with ryegrass and fescue. Detailed morphological and agronomic characteristics of the variety, including maturity, disease resistance, and quality composition of the produce, have not been published.
