The Hyperon variety is a tetraploid hybrid of festulolium. It is intended for use as a forage crop in the establishment of agricultural grass stands.

In scientific and agronomic research, this variety is used as a reference object, particularly when studying the productivity and botanical composition of grass stands in the first year of use.
