The variety belongs to the "fescue" type and is characterized by a weakly creeping tillering type. Leaves are dark green, medium in length and width, with a smooth surface. The inflorescence is a long, ovoid-shaped panicle; seeds are of medium size.

The plant possesses high resistance to snow mold and Helminthosporium leaf spot and tolerates grazing well. The variety provides a high yield of green and dry mass, especially at the first cut, and improved fiber digestibility.

Naos is intended for the establishment of sown pastures and hay production; it is often used in grass mixtures with other grasses or alfalfa.
