The variety is bifere, producing two crops per year: breba ripens in July on last year's shoots, the second crop — in August-October on current year's shoots. The tree is of medium vigor with a spreading crown, reaching a height of 3-5 meters. The variety is characterized as self-fertile, although some publications indicate it belongs to the "San Pedro" type, where pollination may be required for the second crop.
The fruits are large, weighing from 60 to 120 g, with a shape varying from pear-shaped to round. When ripening, the skin changes color from yellow-green with a purple tint to dark purple and almost black. The flesh is juicy, sweet, and pinkish or amber in color. The plant is relatively winter-hardy, withstanding temperatures down to -11°C, but is sensitive to excess soil moisture, which can cause fruit cracking.
