The plant forms light green, distinctly lobed leaves with a cordate base and an irregularly wavy, serrated margin. The variety is considered a likely descendant from Italy and is used for fresh consumption and fruit production.
The first harvest ripens relatively late, starting around June 20, with the harvest period lasting about 15 days. Harvesting of the second crop begins from mid-August. The plant is well adapted to the climatic conditions of Slovenian Istria, Goriška Brda, and the Vipava Valley.
