Verde di Natale is an ancient landrace variety from the Apulia region, characterized by very late ripening, which often occurs in December. The variety is self-pollinating and produces only one main harvest per season.
The plant has vigorous growth and forms an upright crown. The fruits are covered with light green skin, which is easily peeled when consumed fresh; the fruit flesh varies from an orange to a reddish hue. The variety is suitable for both fresh consumption and drying.
1 jurisdiction
Green indicates countries where the variety is listed in the national catalogue and its seeds are authorized for sale. Expired registrations are marked separately: the variety was previously admitted, but sale is no longer permitted.
