ActiveFicus carica L. · Common fig
Plattner Anton
10 August 2026
The variety is uniferous, producing one crop per season in August and September. The fruits are characterized by a short-pyriform or flattened shape, dark green skin color with whitish-yellow shades near the peduncle, and dark red flesh.
The trees of this variety are large in size and adapted to the local climatic conditions of Portugal. Historically, the variety was used primarily for drying, however, modern production is increasingly oriented toward the supply of fresh fruit to the market.
