A distinctive morphological feature is the presence of fruits with a flattened or open tip, which sometimes complicates their packaging in standard containers.
Fruits require harvesting upon reaching full maturity, including the sepal area, to ensure optimal flavor. The variety was created for the fresh produce commercial market due to the high firmness and transportability of the fruits. It is genetically related to a number of Californian-bred varieties and has been actively used as a parent form in the breeding of new varieties.
