The spring barley variety Triumph, also known as Trumpf, was bred by crossing the Diamant and Hadm Stamm 14029/64/6 lines. The initial line underwent a process of re-selection due to high variability of types before final variety registration.
The plant belongs to the short-stemmed barley category. In comparative trials, the variety demonstrated a height on average 9.2 cm lower than the Julia variety, with maturity occurring two days later. Due to its characteristics, the variety was actively used in international breeding programs.
