The genetic origin of the variety is linked to the Lubelski variety crossed with wild hops of Yugoslavian origin or with the Slovenian variety Styrian Golding. The variety possesses the ability to adapt to various growing conditions and demonstrates stable yields.
The alpha-acid content is 3.0–8.0%, beta-acid content is 3.0–6.0%, and essential oil content is 1.5–2.1 ml/100 g. Myrcene dominates the composition of the oils. The aromatic profile includes spicy-herbal and woody notes, as well as hints of citrus and sweet banana.
The variety is used for bittering and aromatizing various beer styles, including IPA, pale ales, and Belgian ales. It is suitable for dry hopping and cold hopping methods.
