The variety is a collection of nine officially recognized clones, including Osvaldův klon 31, 72 and 114. The plant has a reddish hue to the vine, and its cones are of medium size and elongated-ovoid shape with a thin strig 16–19 mm long.

The yield of the variety averages 0.9–1.2 tonnes of dried hops per hectare. The chemical composition is characterized by an alpha-acid content in the range of 2.5–4.5%, beta-acids of 4.0–6.0% and essential oils of 0.4–0.8 g per 100 g of product with a high level of farnesene and humulene.

The hops are used for aromatic and dry hopping of beer, imparting floral and spicy notes to the beverage. The variety is demanding of growing conditions and is protected by a geographical indication of origin.
