Variety description

The variety is a hybrid obtained by crossing a seedling of the Northern Brewer variety and components of the Saaz variety. The plant is characterized by vigorous growth and a classic cylindrical shape, has dark red-purple vines and stems 10–13 mm thick. The cones are oblong-ovoid in shape, the weight of 100 cones is 18–23 grams, and the strig length is about 20 mm. The variety is of medium-early maturity and is resistant to downy mildew.

The hop belongs to dual-purpose varieties used for both bitterness and aroma. The aromatic profile includes spicy herbs, dried chamomile, freshly mown hay, pine shades, and earthy minerality. The content of alpha acids is 6–9%, beta acids — 3.0–5.5%, and the total oil content ranges from 1 to 2 ml per 100 g.
