The variety was bred in the Czech Republic as part of the Odolchmel program for developing drought-tolerant varieties. It belongs to the bitter category, but due to its aromatic properties, it is classified as a dual-purpose variety suitable for the production of various beer styles.

The plant demonstrates stable high yields exceeding 2 tonnes per hectare. The alpha acid content varies in the range of 8.5% to 13%. The aromatic profile of the variety includes distinct spicy, woody, and herbal notes, while the acid composition indicators are characterized by low variability.
